So as you all know we've been desperately trying to finish our Siren song and have been editing, recording and also shooting video and what not for its imminent release. However we'd never got around to making a video for our song 'Destroy' from our second EP. Something we'd always wanted to do. So during this new burst of energy we've been having we decided to give it a go.
And finally by this afternoon (around 6 o clock) we finally had it - and just had to wait for the stupid download/upload cap on our virgin broadband account to hit the 9pm 'all clear' before we could upload it to youtube (seriously ISPs, some of us actually have to USE our account to, you know, FUNCTION).
So we upload DESTROY to YouTube, and the first thing we do once it's uploaded is go onto Twitter and tell everyone to go check out our 'Destroy' video using this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ks7r1DhnThk .......
...and with that, within seconds, the whole of Twitter IS DESTROYED. Just after @sizemore says 'I likes me a little @georgiawonder' BOOM - TWITTER IS DESTROYED! Sorry FailWhale, I think we blew you out of the water - 'pull your dreams on to a shore where there is no tomorrow?'. Probably. Poor whale.
Here's the video that DESTROYED TWITTER. Sorry for all the hassle, we thought Twitter would be able to cope with the link, but obviously not. Watch the video. We've included the lyrics like karaoke so you can all sing along and relive the demise of Twitter with the sound of your own bellowing and somewhat apocalyptic voice in a kind of 'I'm gonna get Mediaeval on yo' ass kind of way.
WATCH DESTROY ON YOUTUBE IN HD AND FULL SCREEN - MUCH NICER! and leave us some nice comments please - some thumbs up and 'add to faves' wouldn't go amiss either! And please forward this video to people you really don't like. Or want to scare. Thanks.
Nice editing job! I like the use of fonts and colours here (had some good giggling about the blue lips around 3:40).
Everytime I listened to this gem in the past months, its lyrics made me feel both awkward (what if sb. sang that to me?) and jolly (it's mean, but cool) - is that a common effect?
