'Unknown Legend' is our first release for nearly a year, but it's still part of the same project - 'Made In Nevada' - which as you probably already know is our attempt to record our new album entirely in our local music store, Nevada Music in Portsmouth, UK.

To try and bridge the gap between this new release and our previous release, Siren, we thought we'd let everyone have a bit of fun and hand over the stems to 'Siren' so that people can download them and have a go at remixing the whole of the song for their own amusement.

To download the mp3 stems, right click here and choose 'Save As' to download all 60 tracks (203.7mb) of the song. Yup you heard right - there are 60 tracks that make the song up, some mono and some stereo, so I hope you have a fast connection because that's a fifth of a gig of stuff. If you're REALLY into remixing this tune, you might want to download the full non-mp3 version of the song (it's 1.1gb)

Almost all of the 60 tracks start at the same point (apart from a handful) so once you've imported them into Logic Audio, Garageband, or whatever software you know how to use you can get started and mix away till you go deaf.

Oh yeah, the BPM is 113. If it's not bang on the beat at that tempo you've probably got the wrong sample rate set or something.

If you think you've come up with something particularly amazing that you think we just must hear, upload your version of Siren to our Soundcloud account so we can take a listen!

If you've got any questions about the song or the production, feel free to ask questions in the comments section! If you're in the ranks of the super-nerd and are fanatical about production and all that stuff, you may want to go and look at this Gearslutz thread where you can find more details about the track.

It's not a CC license or anything, but it's 100% our song and recording so as long as you don't go making a million quid out of it (yeah right) without telling us we don't mind. If you do come up with something you think is awesome just give us a listen or upload your version to our Soundcloud account.

I guess the main thing is, if you come up with something that is beyond the bounds of 'having some fun' and end up in a commercial situation just get in touch. And if you don't - just have fun with it.

Well here it is, 'Unknown Legend' our new single from our 'Made In Nevada' project. It's a cover version of a Neil Young song we love, and it's the first time we've ever done a cover!

It's the only chance that Steph has had to sing about motorbikes so she's pretty happy about it, and Julian enjoyed playing twangy guitar. It's got a different kind of groove to the (brilliant) original, so check out and let us know what you think. Oh, and if you know Neil Young, tell him to go listen to it.

You can buy the track from iTunes or from Bandcamp

We've been trying to remember who we are, what we're doing and where we're up to, and we thought you might be wondering the same things too! So here's a little refresher course in all things Georgia Wonder.

Where have we been?

Life got in the way. Seriously. You couldn't make it up. That's enough about that. Onwards!

What have we been up to?

We are picking up the pieces from exactly where we left off. We're still committed to our Made In Nevada project, and the guys at the shop have been very patient with us over the last few months. In case you didn't know, or had forgotten, we are recording a bunch of songs in the Nevada Music store in Portsmouth. We've already released Siren and No Credit from the project and there is quite a bit more material to come. We're looking forward to getting back in to the store and getting on with it.

Siren had a lot of promotion thanks to the guys over at We7 and also got Record Of The Day over at Pop Justice. Pretty good for something recorded in a music shop!

What about before?

If you've lost track of our other releases you may want to take a look at our rather creepy video for the title track of our last EP Destroy, or go listen to the whole EP thing.

And if you're a relative newcomer to our music, you may want to check out the video to Girl You Never Knew from our first EP.

You can see all our videos over at the Georgia Wonder YouTube channel

What can I do?

You could help us out by buying our stuff!. We've got a massive mountain to climb after such a long break, so every penny helps. Also you can send your friends to download our debut EP absolutely free! Pass the link on!

Now what?

Our latest single 'Siren' (the second song from our 'Made In Nevada' project) has been on the We7.com site a couple of weeks now and they've managed to give us some stats. They kindly gave us free banner ads and audio ads for the song - if you don't know We7.com yet they're an ad-funded music site that get around 3 million people visiting a month. You can listen to what you want, and the audio adverts on the site generate the revenue.

We7.com was set up a few years ago - Peter Gabriel was involved - and one of their remits was and is to champion new bands, so we're happy to be one of the bands they seem to like helping! The stats are interesting, we are being completely honest here because we think it's important for other bands to see the reality of streaming sites and digital purchases. Before we give you the stats here's the video of 'Siren' just to remind you what it's all about.

OK now you've had a look at that, here come the stats:

In the last two weeks We7.com served 974,966 impressions of our 'Siren' banner ad / audio ad.

We have a click through rate (CTR) of 0.49% - meaning 1 in 200 people who saw and heard the ad actually clicked on it. The average for We7.com site is 0.3% - quite a lot more people are interested in our Siren advert than the other adverts on We7.com

Because of the ads, 6082 people ended up listening to 'Siren'. Of those, 1669 listened for 30 seconds or less, meaning 4413 people listened to the whole song.

We7.com also wrote an article about our 'Made In Nevada' project and linked to it from the bottom of their main site (you might still be able to see it). 4777 people looked at that in the last two weeks.

NOW HERE'S THE INTERESTING BIT (Click 'Read More' for the rest...)
